The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octavio Octave/Fuzz pedal
is one of those effects that just can't be imitated.
Hendrix made it famous with his legendary
Band of Gypsys: Live at the Fillmore East performance,
and people have been trying to get that tone ever since.
Dunlop went back and carefully reverse engineered the Octavio
from an original piece in the Experience Music Project Museum in Seattle.
The Circuit is the same as the Original, giving the same trippy sound.
The Octavio doesn't sound like other Fuzzes.
It's extremely touch sensitive.
It can sound like a ripping fuzz/distortion when you hit it hard,
or play softer and you can get some Metallic,
almost ring-modulator tones.
If you're into playing 60's music,
and like to get a little farther out there into Psychedelic territory,
the Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Octavio is definitely for you.
